Ok, so you wanna know what's goin' on eh?
I just took on three new clients. Am I crazy? Certifiable. One is a temp - a month while her daughter (a friend of mine) has back surgery and recovers. Another is the wife of my other client, it's once a week for a couple hours. I still have my ladies, and I took on Anna as well. So... Now you know. I also called in to the home health agency and put my name back on the lists... sigh. So- if this isn't what I'm supposed to be doing, someone PLEASE hit me over the head and quick! The rest of you can pray for direction in my life, just in case I'm not supposed to be doing this again....

- Happily married mother of two(by birth), and step mother of 4 grown children. (I think it's odd to try and describe my parental status as I raised my oldest stepson from about the time he was 4 1/2, so I claim him as one of "my kids". However, the other three stepchildren were not raised by me, but I don't claim them any less, just differently. But when people ask "How many kids do you have?" It's not a simple answer.) I'm a sap. And an old fashioned romantic. I believe in promises and I believe in God- perhaps not as most say they do, but off grid, out of the box- I tend to believe that God is bigger than most people think is possible. And I'm beginning to be more open minded about what/who God is. I've "seen things" and "known things" some I can't begin to explain. Because of this and my verocious love of reading, I sometimes "don't fit" in main street thinking and beliefs.

I have absolutely no doubt that you're doing exactly what you're meant to be doing (well, except for taking on Mom as a client 'cuz I'm afraid that will prove disastrous for you both). Not many people have the ability to work with the elderly and you've definitely got it in spades! I think you were directed to this type of work for a reason. It's like a calling that you can't ignore and it's one that's desperately needed. Yes, you're certifiably crazy, but it has nothing to do with your profession. ;0)
I must agree - you're definitely certifiable! However, your nickname is "Angel" and that's precisely what you are being when you help others that can't help themselves. What was it recently that made you want to get out of this type of work? Thanks for the update finally!
BTW, when you're at Mom's, can you help me to get some old pics of me from her? I've asked her a couple of times - I'm looking for anything with me as a kid & all the school pics. I was wondering if you could maybe scan them in & send them to me (hey, maybe on Grouper!) so that Mom doesn't have to part with them...Love ya!
