Another day in the life....

So, the one thing I am learning is that nothing stays the same... every day I have different emotions about my job, back and forth, "Doing good, feeling more comfortable" to "I have no brain! I can't do this!" Realizing finally, that it's both and a positive challenge - That there will always be good days and bad days... accepting and no longer obsessing.

It'll all work out like it's supposed to. I think you're selling yourself short. You've got a lot to offer an employer and they obviously realize that too since you're still there. I'm the queen of self-doubt and selling myself short, so I understand completely how you're feeling, but just remember all of the good attributes you have to offer and you'll eventually get the hang of it and become invaluable to them. You always do!

Good for You! Just keep remembering that each new day is a challenge..... & look forward to it. Don't let the difficult days win.

Hey Mom, Ummm...I'm feeling a little neglected. You've posted on Amanda's and Laura's blogs, but not on mine or Jennifer's. :0( I'm jealous and will throw a tantrum if you don't go comment in ours too! No fair! No fair! No fair! ;0)

Hi Sis,

Don't beat yourself up over this job. You & I know it's not for a lack of brains. Most, if not all, people have the greatest difficulty during transitional learning. You're learning to adapt to another's way of doing things. The main thing is that you are a smart, hard worker and you have a strong work ethic.

They'll see what a gem they have soon... if they don't, they're willfully blind and don't deserve your employment. Just make sure you give them the time to see what everyone finds so very obvious.

All you can do is your best by working heartily as to the Lord and not unto men (with eyeservice, like most other people). When it's all said and done, you only need to stand approve before God. It's nice when others approve too, but that's not our motivator. Here's a wonderful quote for you, "Don't ever let spectators run your performance."

Also, remember that the worst case scenario is that you would look for a new job where you'd be happy and appreciated. There's a saying, "I was looking for a job when I found this one." Meaning, you don't have any problem getting employment.

The main thing is to enjoy living life like Ecclesiastes encourages, but within the framework of living within God's will, which is His Word. It is a GIFT of God when you can ENJOY work. Your calling is not to have a particular oocupation/vocation, but rather to live your life in service to God, which can be done in so many different ways...that's up to you to choose how to go about it. Often, you'll find that when your longsuits are utilized fully, that's when you'll find the greatest fulfillment in service, work, play ...really, in anything you do.
